I don’t want my information from my registration made public. Is this database secure?

We do not allow public viewing of records. If you receive a contact you believe does not originate from Central Texas Discover Engineering or GivePulse yet you think resulted from access to this website/database please send a note to info@centexeweek.org.

I’ve never done this sort of volunteer work. What training do you provide?

We are happy to provide trainings to teams at companies during Lunch and Learns (or Breakfast and Learns). We are also happy to have a conversation with individual volunteers or volunteer team leaders to talk through classroom visits, hands-on activities and best practices for a successful volunteer engagement. How much of a commitment am I making?

It depends on whether you are a team leader, a community event volunteer or a member of a team visiting a school. Typically it takes a few emails and/or phone calls to confirm a visit and ensure all the details/logistics are confirmed, a bit of time to prep materials for the event, and an hour or two for the volunteer effort (depends on the volunteer request).

May I take photos of the event?

Due to privacy issues, please restrict pictures to volunteers and those who have provided a written release.  Do not take pictures with the faces of minors and post them on social media or other communications channels.
